Senior Accountant

As a member of the Finance Team at FOCUS, you’ll have a big impact on the firm by adding your financial and accounting experience to our organization and its employees, in a rapidly growing environment and team. This role will support our growing businesses and drive improvement of all accounting and finance functions.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Owning month-end close processes like posting/reviewing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, preparing monthly financial statements, and other accounting/finance responsibilities.

• Analyzing expenses and their drivers; preparing monthly accruals and accurately reporting on variances vs prior months and vs budgets.

• Approve vendor bills and expense reports to ensure they are recorded accurately and in accordance with budget

• Responsible for payroll posting and review, consolidation, intercompany eliminations, revenue reporting, expense analysis, bank reconciliations, capital contributions, intercompany loans; Year-end and periodic budgeting and forecasting for parent entities.

• Align accounting processes working with Controller teams and PEAK6 corporate accounting teams such as accounts payable, treasury, payroll, and FP&A

• Assisting the corporate finance team with other projects, including monthly consolidations and year-end financial statement audits.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

• 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance experience in a multi entity organization

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, CPA preferred

• US GAAP and FASB knowledge

• Strong project management, planning and organizational skills

• A strong desire to partner and collaborate with various teams across the organization.

• Analytical ability, and perseverance to solve problems with high attention to detail

• NetSuite and/or Workday experience is a plus
